For twenty-five years, until David went back to graduate school in 1991, he was employed in the senior construction management and part owner of several industrial specialty construction companies and was a partner in a corporate workout and factoring company. David combined this management experience with the healing arts skills obtained from a Masters of Science in Counseling degree into the concept called a Business Coach. David now assists companies and individuals on improving their teamwork and assisting in resolving conflict. |

The mission of Business Coach is achieved in three different but allied fields: corporate training, coaching/counseling, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). As an ADR professional David has served on the Panel of Mediators for The State of Louisiana - Supreme Court, a Court Annexed Mediator for the US Federal Court Middle District (recipient of the 1996 Distinguished Service Award), a Fair Hearings Officer and mediator for LA Department of Rehabilitation. He has been an Arbitrator for the Louisiana State Bar Association and also serves as the Louisiana State Director for Professional Mediation Association. David is also a mediator for Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). As a trainer David presents training on increasing interpersonal communication, negotiation abilities, leadership and management skills, anger and stress management, and conflict resolution. He currently has contracts with Louisiana State University -School of Business and Baton Rouge City Court. He is on the faculty of the University of Phoenix, teaching graduate courses on Conflict Management Systems, and maintains numerous commercial contracts. David has a family mental health practice dealing with relationship issues and mood disorders as well as substance abuse addiction and compulsive gambling. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Certified Compulsive Gambling Counsel and Clinical Hypnotist. Education credits include a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Sam Houston State University, a Masters of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M, and has completed all the requirements for a Ph.D. at St. John's University except the dissertation. |
